Please give us a few sentences about yourself.

I’m a father, husband and photographer. Sometimes all at the same time when working on @CITIZENSOFTHEWORLD with my partner, Meghan.

When did you become a dad?

About 11 months ago. Coming up to a year and the time has just flown by.

What has been the best thing about having children and being a dad, is it what you expected, any surprises?

Having Lachie has definitely made me a better person in so many ways. As a parent, you kind of have to be the best version of yourself because you’re leading by example.

I also have a lot more respect for my own parents now that I am officially in their shoes. Makes me realise how much they sacrificed to ensure my siblings and I had a great education and a roof over our heads.

You could say that parenthood is just all-round a very humbling experience.

Do you have a favourite park/ secret spot / walk you go on with kids in your Joolz?

Our Joolz is our life-saver. We don’t just take it to the park, we’ve taken it onto the beach, on boats in the Whitsundays. No joke, my wife can unpack and flatten it down for transporting in 30 seconds flat.

What is your favourite thing about your Joolz?

One of the most surprising and favourite things about the Joolz is how easily the wheels come on and off. We were initially nervous about travelling with it because we’d never taken a pram on a plane but when we saw how quickly the wheels clipped on and off it was amazing.

What has been the biggest challenge since becoming a parent?

Saying goodbye to nights out. We’ve swapped date nights for date lunches.

Do you have any advice for first time dads?

Don’t fret the little things, just enjoy the little milestones. They grow up way too fast.
